The Xenopoulos family, after a long and successful course in the catering industry of New York, decides to invest in Greece. They choose to introduce an innovative brand to the Greek market and this was only the beginning.

In 1997, the 1st TGI Fridays™ restaurant opens in Greece. Greek consumers became acquainted for the first time with the American food culture and service. We introduced new terms – such as "flair" - and offered a unique, friendly environment.

The brand’s positivity was warmly welcomed by the guests along with the extroverted style of service. 25 years later, TGIF continues to evolve and grow, adding to their portfolio various concepts.

Nikos Negas, currently CEO of TGI Fridays Restaurants in Greece, was Director of Operations during the opening of the 1st TGI Fridays™ restaurant in 1997. After years of establishing TGI Fridays in the Restaurant Industry as one of the leading brands in the market, in 2020 the company welcomed the opening of the 10th TGI Fridays ™ restaurant in Greece. It is worth mentioning that 95% of senior management & support executives started their careers in the group from positions of Service, Bar, Hosting and Kitchen and were developed internally.

Our Group is constantly evolving, developing new ideas, new restaurants, and iconic brands. Respecting our values and culture, we have created a different Hospitality Group that sets new conditions for the industry.
